Micro Greens, a must have in your kitchen.
Not sure what Micro Greens are? They are young vegetable greens that are somewhere between sprouts and salad leaf. Most common microgreen varieties are; Basil, Broccoli, Coriander, Mizuna, Peas, Radish, Rocket etc. They have a high nutrient content such as Vitamins K, A and C and Iron. They also come in many colors, textures and sizes.
This is a great way to get your kids growing their own food. Ready to eat 10-12 days from sowing, which means kids won’t lose interest. It is like magic seeing their growth each day. Put them on your kitchen bench or window sill or outside if you are low on space.

Instructions and size of each Micro Green Seed Pack:
Broccoli & Rocket Mix ~ 40g
This is a nice blend of smooth and nutty flavour from the Brocoli and a bit of a punch from the Rocket.
How to grow your Micro Greens:
- Prepare your tray* with drainage holes and fill with potting mix or seed raising mix (make sure you are wearing a face mask).
- Sprinkle your seed evenly but generously over the soil (you don’t need to use the whole pack, the seed last a long time in the pack). You can sprinkle a little bit of soil over the seeds which can help speed up and create a more even germination. Sit them somewhere they can get light but it does not need to be a sunny spot
- To assure germination and rapid growth, keep the seed tray moist but not drenched, using a spray bottle to do your watering is the best. I usually spray them once a day
- Once they are approximately 5cm long, cut or pick them above the soil line. Try to patch cut them so that the smaller seedlings can get space and light and you will get more growth from your tray
- Add to a soup, salad or even your eggs and avo on toast to give that extra boost of flavour, nutrients and colour
*Use any tray around the house such as an ice cream container, old meat tray, margarine container, as long as you can put drainage holes in the bottom.
Coriander Picante ~ 40g
Delicious and intense flavour. It is slow growing but well worth the wait. Coriander needs a deep tray, as they have long tap roots. The roots are full of flavour and can be eaten in many dishes.
