Which size is for me?

Size Mini (60mm long, 42mm rim diameter, 25ml capacity)

  • Pre-childbirth
  • Light flow
  • Teen/petite physique

Size One (70mm long, 42mm rim diameter, 30ml capacity)

  • Pre-childbirth
  • Light flow
  • under 30 years

Size Two (70mm long, 46mm rim diameter, 40ml capacity)

  • Post-childbirth
  • Medium-heavy flow
  • Over 30 years

After giving birth, and as we age, our pelvic floor muscles change, so a size TWO is generally best. Size ONE and MINI have the same circumference, however, the MINI is shorter and less volume. If you are very athletic with a light flow. you may consider s smaller size.

One VS Two
Most menstrual cup brands recommend if you are over 30 years old that you choose a size two, and if you are under 30 you choose a size one. The reason is because the pelvic floor muscles hold the cup in place (as well as it forming a seal inside you). With age, the hips naturally widen, and the elasticity of the vagina changes, meaning, eventually, if you have had children or not, you may need a size two. Nothing to be ashamed of, vaginas are great!

However, this "30 age" cut-off is not a be all and end all: If you have not given birth and are 35ish and feel you have medium to strong pelvic floor muscles - consider choosing a size one. Likewise, if you are under 30 and feel your pelvic floor muscles aren’t strong (as in you have the odd bit of light bladder leakage for instance) then consider choosing a size two. If you have a heavy flow, no matter what your age, we recommend our size two.

Mini VS One
Low cervix alert! See below for how to tell. Mini is perf for people with low cervixes. People’s cervixes sit at different heights, meaning, someone with a lower cervix may find the size one too long for them. Mini is also perfect for ovary-bearers who are new to menstruation or haven’t really put anything up there before (hey, either way is fine!).

If you don't have a low cervix but are still wanting a mini, you may find a size one easier to use. That's because if you get a mini and you are long inside, your cup may naturally rise up a little inside you, meaning that you will have to reach further inside you to remove it. No biggie, just makes it a bit more difficult to get the hang of.

Mini VS Two
Think you may have a low cervix but believe you need a size two for capacity or because you have given birth vaginally?
If you have strong pelvic floor muscles and a light to medium flow, a mini will be fine, even if you have given birth.
If you have a heavy flow and/or weaker pelvic flow muscles (as in the off bit of light bladder leakage for instance) then we suggest you try a size two and if it's too long for your low cervix, turn it inside out. Nifty. Still works a charm.

Easy to use, efficient, discrete, eco friendly, takes dealing sm

Way less messy then absorbents, much more gentle then tampons, eco friendly, easy to use. I can only see advantages in relation with all the other alternatives to deal with the menses. Would recommend buying 2 as when you are in a public toilet it's easier to first change the cup then deal with cleaning the used one.
