EcoWarehouse is a New Zealand-based online retailer of sustainable and eco-friendly household products, operating since 2006. Based in Ngatimoti, Tasman, and run by Dunja and Serge, the business stocks products across home and kitchen, cleaning and laundry, bathroom and beauty, hair care, oral care, kids and art, and outdoor living. Products ship nationwide across New Zealand and to Australia. EcoWarehouse-branded products are also available in over 400 retail stores across New Zealand and Australia.
Helping Kiwis live better, waste less, and make a positive difference. One sustainable choice at a time.
We're a family-run business led by Dunja and Serge, joined on our journey by our two wonderful kids, Amber and Makani. All united by one big mission: to make sustainable, non-toxic, and waste-reducing products easy to access for everyone in Aotearoa and beyond.
Our journey began in 2005, when we moved from Switzerland to New Zealand. Coming from a country where recycling, composting, and sustainability were second nature, we were surprised by how hard it was to live eco-consciously here. One moment stood out: after collecting used batteries for recycling (as we always had), we asked a neighbour where to drop them off. His answer? "Just chuck them in the bin." That response shocked us and planted the seed for what would become our business.
Unable to find the sustainable alternatives we were used to, we started sourcing them ourselves, beginning with Soap Nuts and Effective Microorganisms. Over time, we grew organically: taking over a like-minded company, expanding our product range, and slowly converting our entire home into a warehouse (yes, the garage too!).
Today, we offer New Zealand's largest range of sustainable and eco-friendly products, carefully chosen to reduce waste, avoid harmful chemicals, and support your health and the planet.
We walk the talk. Our home is solar-powered. We compost, recycle, and drive electric vehicles. And we use the very products we sell in our own daily lives. That means when you shop with us, you're not only supporting a small business but also choosing integrity, transparency, and values that align with yours.
Our customers care deeply about their families' health and the future of the environment. They are looking for real, trusted alternatives, not greenwashed gimmicks. We make it easy by curating reliable products in one convenient place, backed by friendly service and fast shipping.
We're not a faceless corporation. We're just a small, passionate team working hard to give you better choices so you can live lighter, shop smarter, and help create a cleaner future.
How we choose our products
Every product in our range is assessed before it earns a place. We look at materials, ingredients, packaging, durability, and the manufacturer's own environmental commitments. A product makes the cut if it reduces plastic use, avoids unnecessary synthetic chemicals, and offers a genuine improvement over the conventional alternative.
What we sell
Our range covers everything a household needs to make the switch to more sustainable living: kitchen and cleaning products, bathroom and personal care, hair care, oral care, laundry, composting, kids' products, and art supplies. We carry our own EcoWarehouse-branded range alongside trusted brands including Natural Earth Paint, Nawrap, ZingBokashi NZ, If You Care, and Honeysticks.
We ship New Zealand-wide, with delivery typically within 4 working days. International orders ship by air.
