A great shampoo bar to help and look after your hair.

This was the very first shampoo bar and a crowd favourite. Mintasy (Damage Control) is for those of you with normal-dry, maybe slightly damaged hair. Maybe you straighten a couple of times a week, maybe you go swimming pretty often, or maybe your hair just needs a little TLC.

Ethique paired coconut oil and cocoa butter with peppermint to cleanse the hair and smooth your hair shaft. She's small, but mighty; Mintasy (Damage Control) won't weigh you or your hair down.

Ingredients: Sodium coco sulfate, Sodium cocoyl isethionate, Stearic Acid, Theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, Cocos nucifera (coconut) fruit, Decyl glucoside, Aqua (water), Glycerin, Lactic acid, Brassica alcohol, Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Sodium isethionate, Mentha piperita (Peppermint) oil, Behentrimonium methosulfate, Limonene, Mica, CI 77891, CI 77288

Instructions: Wet your hair and the bar. Slide the bar from root to tip 3-4 times. Put the bar down and lather shampoo into hair. It will foam, rinse and follow with conditioner if you need to.

Made from recycled materials or is recyclable

Recycling has many benefits like saving energy, conserving raw materials, reducing the amount of stuff that goes to landfills and it's also saving you money. 2.5 Million Tons of waste go to landfills each year (8kg per person/week) 3/4 could be saved by re-using, recycling and composting. Re-duce, Re-use, Re-cycle!

Fairly traded or Fairtrade certified

At the beginning of most production chains are the workers and farmers (producers). Sadly they do not always get a fair share of the benefits of the trade. You as a consumer can now make a conscious decision about buying fairtrade or fairly traded products and putting this right.

Contain no toxins or harmful ingredients

Many people suffer from allergies, asthma and other sensitivities because of products that contain toxins or otherwise harmful ingredients. Most of these products are used inside the house eg. for cleaning, as body care products, as a detergent and so on. We try to source products that are mostly natural and do not cause any harm to you or your environment.

Reduce the dependence on oil

Many household items are made of plastic. Because plastic doesn't react chemically with most other substances, it doesn't break down or decay. Therefore, plastic poses a significant environmental problem as it hangs around in the environment for a very long time. We stock many products that use little or no plastic in order to reduce our dependence on oil.

Is compostable or biodegradable

What is the difference? Compostable materials provide the earth with nutrients once it has completely broken down. Biodegradable materials refer to the ability of breaking down and return to nature. Buying products that are compostable and/or biodegradable will help to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfills.

Cruelty free

The testing on animals for cosmetic and consumer products needs to stop. Whether you decide to buy only vegan products, or just start incorporating more cruelty-free products into your life, it's definitely worth to go animal friendly. There are so many shampoo bars to choose from but this one has a minty freshness that’s wakes up my senses. I keep it in an Ethique soap container and it lasts for ages.
