A new (old) way of washing the dishes: We introduce the Stainless Steel Soap Cage / Soap Shaker. Remember those days when Grandma did the dishes? Ours have never used dish washing liquid in plastic bottles. They have always used the soap shaker, soap cage, soap swish or whatever you want to call it...it's a terrific wee tool that once again reduces the amount of waste going to landfills.

How to use: Place your favourite soap in the soap cage / soap shaker and either have the hot water run over the soap cage / soap shaker while filling the sink. Or fill up the sink with water, swirl the soap cage / soap shaker around until there are suds.

Fairly traded or Fairtrade certified

At the beginning of most production chains are the workers and farmers (producers). Sadly they do not always get a fair share of the benefits of the trade. You as a consumer can now make a conscious decision about buying fairtrade or fairly traded products and putting this right.

Contain no toxins or harmful ingredients

Many people suffer from allergies, asthma and other sensitivities because of products that contain toxins or otherwise harmful ingredients. Most of these products are used inside the house eg. for cleaning, as body care products, as a detergent and so on. We try to source products that are mostly natural and do not cause any harm to you or your environment.

Reduce the dependence on oil

Many household items are made of plastic. Because plastic doesn't react chemically with most other substances, it doesn't break down or decay. Therefore, plastic poses a significant environmental problem as it hangs around in the environment for a very long time. We stock many products that use little or no plastic in order to reduce our dependence on oil.

Is compostable or biodegradable

What is the difference? Compostable materials provide the earth with nutrients once it has completely broken down. Biodegradable materials refer to the ability of breaking down and return to nature. Buying products that are compostable and/or biodegradable will help to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfills.

Cruelty free

The testing on animals for cosmetic and consumer products needs to stop. Whether you decide to buy only vegan products, or just start incorporating more cruelty-free products into your life, it's definitely worth to go animal friendly. The products we source are cruelty-free and do not harm or kill animals in their making.

Easy to use and doesn't take long to soap up the water to wash a load of dishes. The stand on the bottom makes draining/drying the soap easier. Recommend.
