SoapNuts are naturally grown and have amazing cleaning powers. The shells of these fruits contain a natural substance called Saponin. Once released into water, they create mild suds similar to soap and will effectively remove dirt and oils from clothes and garments.

This box contains 1kg of SoapNut shells and 2 cotton wash bags. It will wash up to 365 loads of laundry or dishes. Reuse 4-6 times before disposing on your compost

People in India and Nepal have been doing their laundry and cleaning with Soap nuts for hundreds of years. Soapnut is the dried fruit of the Ritha tree and the saponin released is a 100% substitute to normal detergents.

SoapNuts can be used for washing clothes, dishes, cloth nappies, as a liquid soap, cleaning and shining ornaments, household cleaner etc. They are highly-effective and gentle and leave your laundry fresh and clean. Suitable on all fabrics at all temperatures. They work in front and top loaders.

Because SoapNuts are chemical free they are an excellent product for washing children's clothing and cloth nappies. Also a great product to use if you suffer from eczema or sensitive skin.

When we source our products, we try to find as many environmental benefits as possible. We source eco products that do not cause any unnecessary harm to our environment.

Made from recycled materials or is recyclable

Recycling has many benefits like saving energy, conserving raw materials, reducing the amount of stuff that goes to landfills and it's also saving you money. 2.5 Million Tons of waste go to landfills each year (8kg per person/week) 3/4 could be saved by re-using, recycling and composting. Re-duce, Re-use, Re-cycle!

Fairly traded or Fairtrade certified

At the beginning of most production chains are the workers and farmers (producers). Sadly they do not always get a fair share of the benefits of the trade. You as a consumer can now make a conscious decision about buying fairtrade or fairly traded products and putting this right.

Contain no toxins or harmful ingredients

Many people suffer from allergies, asthma and other sensitivities because of products that contain toxins or otherwise harmful ingredients. Most of these products are used inside the house eg. for cleaning, as body care products, as a detergent and so on. Is compostable or biodegradable

What is the difference? Compostable materials provide the earth with nutrients once it has completely broken down. Biodegradable materials refer to the ability of breaking down and return to nature. Buying products that are compostable and/or biodegradable will help to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfills.

The testing on animals for cosmetic and consumer products needs to stop. Happy to say this works! Its obviously not as strong as commercial chemical detergent, but with the help of the stain stick, it works a treat :-)
I use 8 nuts 3 x before discarding and using fresh ones.
