20 small packets of different earth and mineral pigments covering a range of ochres, siennas, umbers, greens, blues, purples, and metallic mica colours.
Artists wanting to try a broad range of natural pigments before committing to larger quantities, students, art educators, or anyone curious about making their own natural paints.
They're compatible with linseed oil, walnut oil, gum arabic (watercolour), egg tempera, the Natural Acrylik Medium, and most conventional oil or water-based painting mediums.
The mica pigments are very fine and can disperse in air when mixing, so a NIOSH-certified mask is recommended when handling them, particularly for the silver mica which contains a small percentage of titanium dioxide.
Each pigment comes in a small biodegradable bag. Natural Earth Paint uses 100% post-consumer recycled glass bottles for larger sizes and biodegradable bioplastic bags for powder pigments.
