Beechwood — FSC-certified sustainable hardwood. A natural, plastic-free alternative to conventional plastic or stainless steel dish racks.
Dry after each use to prevent water pooling on the wood. Periodically condition the wood with a little food-safe oil (such as linseed or mineral oil) to maintain it and prevent cracking.
Wood has natural antimicrobial properties, but as with any dish rack it should be dried and aired between uses to stay hygienic.
Like any wooden item, prolonged contact with water can cause mould. Keep it dry between uses and allow good airflow.
With proper care, a beechwood dish rack should last many years — far longer than most plastic racks which become brittle over time.
