Use water up to 60°C only. Fill upright to 4cm below the opening, tighten the stopper firmly by hand, and avoid bending the bottle while hot. Do not use boiling water.

I love the concept and though it's a little hard to get used to a hard water bottle, I appreciate the eco friendliness of keeping softners out of the plastic. The one issue I have with it is that there's no easy way to expel all the air without getting scalded or the outside of the bottle wet. A normal HWB has a neck that extends up past the opening and a lid with a long flat part for tightening it within the neck. The dome lid also has a void in it, so there's always air inside.
