Hugo Frosch has succeeded in creating an innovative and forward looking hot water bottle with a completely new material composition that is free of both PVC and softening agents (phthalates). These eco hot water bottles have been manufactured on a sustainable and resource-saving basis, which maintains its shape when cold and only becomes softer once filled with hot water. The hot water bottle is protected by patent and has a safety stopper.
UPDATE APRIL 2023: Unfortunately the manufacturer in Germany had some production issues and they have to fix/rebuild the machine. We are unsure if we are able to bring the Eco Hot Water Bottles in for this winter.

Durability: Like all materials, this hot water bottle is subject to natural wear and tear. Depending on the environmental conditions and regularity of use it can last for several years. Check the bottle and the stopper on a regular basis for signs of wear and damage.

Very pleased with my purchase. Definitely stiffer than rubber or soft plastic bottles but very good at heat retention. Reminds me somewhat fondly of the Stoneware and Metal HW bottles of my childhood. Requires a good cover (available at purchase or make your own) to make it seem softer. The best feature, in my opinion, is the new design of top. Very easy to do up and to undo but doesn't show any sign of leaking or coming loose. Will be buying more as our old bottles retire!
