Eco Hot Water Bottle, 2L

I love the concept and though it's a little hard to get used to a hard water bottle, I appreciate the eco friendliness of keeping softners out of the plastic. The one issue I have with it is that there's no easy way to expel all the air without getting scalded or the outside of the bottle wet. A normal HWB has a neck that extends up past the opening and a lid with a long flat part for tightening it within the neck. The dome lid also has a void in it, so there's always air inside.

I love my new sustainable hot water bottle! The cover is soft to touch and the funky design is a plus, It keeps the temperature really well. I like the grip at the top of the bottle for easy handling when filling it with hot water, The screw top is also easy to turn and I have the confidence that I am not overdoing the tightening it up. After boiling water in a kettle, it is a good idea put the timer on for 30 minutes so it cools down to around recommended temperature 60 C

Very pleased with my purchase. Definitely stiffer than rubber or soft plastic bottles but very good at heat retention. Reminds me somewhat fondly of the Stoneware and Metal HW bottles of my childhood. Requires a good cover (available at purchase or make your own) to make it seem softer. The best feature, in my opinion, is the new design of top. Very easy to do up and to undo but doesn't show any sign of leaking or coming loose. Will be buying more as our old bottles retire!
