It contains six packets of natural earth paint (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and brown), six biodegradable plant-based mixing cups with lids, one bamboo paint brush, and an Earth Art instruction booklet.
The paints are made from natural earth and mineral pigments, organic corn starch, and gum arabic (tree sap), with no synthetic dyes or petroleum-based binders.
Yes, it is 100% non-toxic and suitable from approximately age 3 with supervision, and the earth and mineral pigments are safe even if accidentally ingested in small amounts.
Each packet makes approximately 460ml of paint depending on how much water is added. Once mixed, it's recommended to use it for one session and refrigerate any leftover paint, where it keeps for around 2 to 3 weeks.
The paint works on wood, rocks, fabric, paper, glass and more, and can be used as a thicker tempera-style paint or thinned with extra water for a watercolour effect.
