Sabun Olive Oil Soap originates from Aleppo, Syria, and is believed to be the world’s first olive oil soap

This beautiful natural soap contains no palm oil, preservatives, perfumes or artificial ingredients – just saponified olive oil and bay laurel oil, a natural antibacterial. Unlike many soaps, Sabun does not dry the skin. It leaves it feeling soft, nourished and moisturised. Ideal for sensitive skin, it is recommended for eczema, psoriasis and other skin conditions. Gentle enough for babies, it can be used on the face, hair and body ~ and even for washing clothes.

Also known as Savon d’Alep, Sabun originates from Aleppo, Syria, and is widely considered the first olive oil (Castile) soap ever made. For centuries, it has been the soap of choice in traditional Hammams (bathhouses).

When we source our products, we try to find as many environmental benefits as possible. We source eco products that do not cause any unnecessary harm to our environment.

Made from recycled materials or is recyclable

Recycling has many benefits like saving energy, conserving raw materials, reducing the amount of stuff that goes to landfills and it's also saving you money. 2.5 Million Tons of waste go to landfills each year (8kg per person/week) 3/4 could be saved by re-using, recycling and composting. Re-duce, Re-use, Re-cycle!

Fairly traded or Fairtrade certified

At the beginning of most production chains are the workers and farmers (producers). Sadly they do not always get a fair share of the benefits of the trade. You as a consumer can now make a conscious decision about buying fairtrade or fairly traded products and putting this right.

Contain no toxins or harmful ingredients

Many people suffer from allergies, asthma and other sensitivities because of products that contain toxins or otherwise harmful ingredients. Most of these products are used inside the house eg. for cleaning, as body care products, as a detergent and so on. We try to source products that are mostly natural and do not cause any harm to you or your environment.

Reduce the dependence on oil

Many household items are made of plastic. Because plastic doesn't react chemically with most other substances, it doesn't break down or decay. Therefore, plastic poses a significant environmental problem as it hangs around in the environment for a very long time. We stock many products that use little or no plastic in order to reduce our dependence on oil.

Is compostable or biodegradable

What is the difference? Compostable materials provide the earth with nutrients once it has completely broken down. Biodegradable materials refer to the ability of breaking down and return to nature. Buying products that are compostable and/or biodegradable will help to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfills.
