Manuka hydrosol is the aromatic water produced during steam distillation of Manuka leaves. It has natural antibacterial and antifungal properties from Manuka's active compounds. As a multi-surface spray it is effective for everyday cleaning of benches, sinks, and bathroom surfaces. It has a pleasant, fresh scent and requires no rinsing.

It is derived from soap nuts and contains natural saponins that clean and degrease without synthetic surfactants. It is fragrance-free, biodegradable, and safe for all surfaces.

Manuka hydrosol spray is an effective antibacterial multi-surface cleaner. A diluted solution of white vinegar with essential oils works well for glass and general surfaces. Oxygen bleach (sodium percarbonate) mixed with water tackles mould and discolouration. Baking soda paste handles abrasive scrubbing tasks. Together these four natural products replace most conventional cleaning sprays.

Natural cleaners with proven antibacterial activity include Manuka hydrosol (active against a range of bacteria), tea tree oil (broadly antimicrobial), and white vinegar (effective against many bacteria due to its acidity). For household sanitation in low-risk situations, these are effective. For high-risk situations such as cleaning after raw meat contact, a stronger concentration of oxygen bleach is more appropriate.

A spray of undiluted white vinegar left on mould for an hour before scrubbing is effective for surface mould. Oxygen bleach (sodium percarbonate) mixed to a paste with water tackles stubborn mould on grout and silicone. Tea tree oil spray (2 percent concentration in water) provides ongoing mould prevention when sprayed and left without rinsing.
