Diatomaceous earth is made from the fossilised remains of diatoms, a type of tiny algae, composed mainly of silica. It controls insects physically rather than chemically — the fine particles damage the exoskeletons of crawling insects on contact, causing them to dehydrate. Non-toxic to humans, animals, and plants, and certified organic by BioGro.
Apply to affected plants, ensuring full coverage including under leaves and around the base. Can also be diluted with water and used as a spray. Food-grade, non-staining, and odourless. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Packaged in a recyclable HDPE plastic bottle.
