A handmade dish brush from unbleached coconut fibre.

The Dish brush is handmade from unbleached coconut fibre. Has a galvanised wire and sustainable timber handle. Coconut fibre is a sustainable vegetable fibre from the husk of the mature coconut. It is naturally antibacterial so won't become smelly or mouldy. It is chemical free and long lasting.

What is the difference? Compostable materials provide the earth with nutrients once it has completely broken down. Biodegradable materials refer to the ability of breaking down and return to nature. Buying products that are compostable and/or biodegradable will help to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfills.

Fairly traded or Fairtrade certified

At the beginning of most production chains are the workers and farmers (producers). Sadly they do not always get a fair share of the benefits of the trade. You as a consumer can now make a conscious decision about buying fairtrade or fairly traded products and putting this right.

Reduce the dependence on oil

Many household items are made of plastic. Because plastic doesn't react chemically with most other substances, it doesn't break down or decay. Therefore, plastic poses a significant environmental problem as it hangs around in the environment for a very long time.
