Our organic patchouli essential oil is steam distilled from the dried leaves of the organically grown patchouli flower.

Native to Indonesia, the oil is dark in colour with a rich, earthy, and sweet aroma. Patchouli is native to Southeast Asia, where it was traditionally used in medicine and as a natural insect repellent to protect fabrics. In the 19th century, the plant was introduced to England, where it gained popularity for its fragrance and was used to perfume rooms.

In the 1960s, patchouli essential oil became more widely used in perfumes, and new applications were explored. It remains popular today as a classic fragrance in cosmetics.

Our organic patchouli essential oil is produced from patchouli flowers grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, reducing the amount of chemicals used in its production. It is 100% organic and certified by the Soil Association, with annual inspections to ensure compliance with strict regulations.
